Privacy Policy
Passero is a companion app for referral and networking chapters, made by Kilroy Roboto LLC ("we", "us"). It is available on the web at getpassero.com and as apps for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what information Passero holds, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Roster information. Your chapter's leadership adds you to Passero with your name, email address, business name and category, phone number, and your chapter role (such as Member, Vice President, or Membership Committee Chair), along with your join date and renewal date where known.
Sign-in information. You sign in with an email and password that Passero stores only as a salted hash, or through Google, Microsoft, or Apple. When you use one of those providers we receive your verified email address and nothing else; we never see your provider password.
Chapter activity. The numbers you and your chapter record each week: attendance, referrals given and received, visitors, one-to-one meetings, continuing-education units, thank-you-for-closed-business amounts, and the notes that go with them. This also includes speaker rotations, chapter events, mentor assignments, and membership committee check-ins and votes recorded by leadership.
Slip photos. If you photograph a paper referral or weekly slip, the image is sent to Anthropic's API to read the handwriting and is used only to pre-fill the form for you. We do not keep the photo once it has been read, and Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.
Technical information. Our servers keep ordinary access logs (IP address, browser or app version, time of request) for security and troubleshooting. Passero does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics software.
How we use it
- To run the service: show your chapter its roster, numbers, standings, and reminders.
- To send email you would expect from a chapter tool, such as weekly reminders, review notifications, and sign-in or password messages. These go out through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES).
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
Passero is a chapter tool, so your fellow chapter members can see the roster and the activity you record, in the same way they would in a meeting. Chapter leadership (the Vice President, Membership Committee, and regional officers) can additionally see attendance, standings, reviews, and mentoring notes according to their role. The Kilroy Roboto team can access data when needed to operate and support the service.
Passero is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by BNI or any other networking organization. We do not share your data with such organizations; submitting numbers to them remains something you do yourself.
Service providers
- Amazon Web Services (United States): hosting, database, and email delivery.
- Anthropic: reading slip photos, as described above.
- Google, Microsoft, Apple: optional sign-in.
Retention
Your information stays in Passero for as long as your chapter uses the service. When leadership removes a member, the record is archived so that the chapter's history stays intact, and leadership can restore it. If you want your personal information deleted, contact us and we will remove it, keeping only what the chapter's historical totals require in de-identified form.
Your choices
- Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Change your sign-in method at any time; a provider sign-in can be revoked from that provider's account settings.
Security
All traffic to Passero is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service.
Children
Passero is a business tool for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and let chapter leadership know.
